Kelrn Fleet Renewal and Expansion

Kelrn logistics recently aquired 23 new 2013 Freightliner Argosy truck-tractors with Cummins 500 engines as part of our policy of ongoing fleet expansion and renewal. Together with the added reliability of the new vehicles, better weight distribution and improved fuel consumption will not only enable us to improve our excellent customer service, but will also lessen our footprint on the environment. Whether it be the customer or the environment, we are in it for the long haul.

KELRN Soccer Day and Year End Function 2012

On 24 November 2012 the KELRN Soccer Day were held with a lunch for employees and their families.  Five teams from the different departments took part and on the end of the day the team from the KELRN Workshop emerged to be the winners of 2012.  Congratulations to the winning team!  The Soccer Day was a fun event that was enjoyed by employees as well as supporters!
Lunch was served in the “Koeistal” after the soccer for the employees and their families where awards were handed out to achievers of the year.  We would like to thank each and everyone that was involved in planning this event, for a very successful day.

Kelrn Staff Included In Griqua Amateur Rugby Team

Congratulations to Jacques de Kock and Shaun Rheeder with their inclusion into the Amateur Griqua rugby team competing in the Amateur Week. The week is held from 5 September to 9 September 2011 at Absa Park in Kimberley. As staff members they make us proud, we would like to wish them well for the week that lay ahead. Good Luck!

SQAS Accreditation Passed!

Kelrn has passed the SQAS accreditation with a average of 95.7%. This confirms that Kelrn meets the highest international standards set for the logistics industry. Health & safety, management, premises and accountability towards the environment is taken into consideration for approval.  Not only do this give our customers peace of mind but it also opens up a host of possibilities for KELRN as we will be listed with SASOL as an accredited transporter.

SQAS Accreditation

Kelrn is currently in the process of aquiring SQAS (Safety & Quality Assessment System) accreditation. SQAS is a system to evaluate the quality, safety, security and environmental performance of Logistics Service Providers and Chemical Distributors in a uniform manner by single standardised assessments carried out by independent assessors using a standard questionnaire. This will ensure that Kelrn meets the highest standards in the logistics industry which will in turn lead to ease of mind for our valued clients.

Welcome Jan Fivaz!

Jan Fivaz, a Financial Management Consultant, have been involved with the Kelrn group since June 17 2011. Jan obtained his B. Comm degree from the UOFS after which he also obtained a B Compt (Hons) degree through UNISA; he also has a diploma in Education. He did his articles at the present day PWC. After he completed his articles he was primarily involved in financial management positions at Suidwes Landbou in Leeudoringstad (8 years) followed at GWK, where he was appointed as Executive Manager: Finance and Systems.

Jan is married to Maria and they have two children, Erik (20) and Heste (18) and they are living in Kimberley.

Tanker Fleet Recently Expanded

KELRN Vervoer recently expanded its fleet with two additional new Fuel tankers from Tankclinic together with two Freightliner Columbia MBE4000 truck-tractors. The combination of the Freightliner Columbia together with the Tankclinic tanker is capable of hauling a payload of 40,000 liter.

Hazchem Accreditation

We are in the process of getting all our Tautliner and Flatdeck vehicles Hazchem accredited in addition to our Fuel Tankers that is already accredited. This will allow us to transport dangerous goods such as certain fertilizers and aerosols . This is in line with our vision to provide a larger range of services to our clients. We will update as soon as the process is finished.

Six-a-Side Cricket

KELRN participated in a six-a-side cricket tournament at Newton primary School. The event was held as a fundraising project to promote sport at Northern Cape High under disadvantaged children. We thoroughly enjoyed the event and would like to thank the hosts for a wonderful event.

New Renault Trucks Aquired

KELRN recently bought two new Renault Premiumlander trucks after extensive testing.  The trucks are fitted with refrigerated bodies in a rigid setup and have a payload of 32tons or 36 pallets with the trailor hitched and boast with excellent fuel economy.
